Obituary of Tanton, Ramona Pearl
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Tuesday, September 17th, 2013 of Ramona Pearl( nee Lyle ) Tanton of Summerside , aged 79 years. Ramona was born on January 14th, 1934 in St. Eleanors, P.E.I. to her late mother Ruby (nee Lyle) Hammond.
Dear wife of 60 years to Charles Tanton. Loving mother of Keith ( Cheryl ), Peter ( Susan ) and mother -in-law of Wendy all of Summerside. Cherished grandmother of Garrett, Hollee, Nicholas, Matthew, Wylie, Sam and Ben. Also survived by her sister-in-law Avis ( George ) Jack of Saskatchewan and several cousins.
Besides her mother, Ramona was predeceased by her eldest son Donald, step-father Richard Hammond, brother-in-law Eric Tanton, Fred ( Flora )Tanton and sister-in-law Marion Dawson.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Saturday September 21st, then to St. John's Anglican Church, Summerside for a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Visiting hours on Friday evening only, 6 - 9 p.m. . Memorial donations in Ramona's memory to the St.John's Anglican cemetery or the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
