Obituary of Mallett, Paul James
The death occurred suddenly at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Friday July 12th , 2013 of Paul James Mallett of Summerside and formerly of Miscouche, P.E.I., aged 57 years. Paul was born on September 2nd , 1955 in Summerside , P.E.I. to his mother Hazel ( nee Cotton ) Mallett and also his father, the late Fred Mallett.
Beloved husband of 30 years to Karen ( nee Dugay ) Mallett and loving father to Chasity ( Gian Martinson ). Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Zack, Kaleigh, Brady, Jacoby and Sophie and his mother-in-law Jane Dugay. Survived by the following brothers and sisters : Jean Hoitsma of Red Deer, AB., Barb ( Wayne ) Poirier of Miscouche, Wanda, Mary Newsome and Fred Jr. " Junior " all of Summerside, Brian ( Debbie ) of Ottawa, ON., Peter ( Elizabeth ) , Patsy ( Roy ) Arsenault and Annie ( Mike ) Arsenault all of Miscouche and brothers and sisters-in-law : Linda ( Ron ) Dunn of Alberton, Sylvia ( David ) Gavin, Brenda ( Jeff ) MacDonald , Colleen ( Bob Ferrier ) , Nola, Darren ( Rebecca ) all of Summerside, Cindy ( Neal ) Merritt of Charlottetown, Donna ( Gilles ) Pitre of Scouduc, N.B. along with numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Besides his father, Paul was predeceased by his sister Joyce Cormier, his father-in-law Fred Dugay and brother-in-law Alan Dugay.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Wednesday, July 17th , then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.. Interment to take place at a later date. Memorial donations in Paul's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to St. John the Baptist Church Fund would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Tuesday evening only, 6 - 9 p.m..

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
