Obituary of Peters, Mary " Arlene "
The death occurred peacefully with her family by her side at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown on Tuesday, July 2nd , 2013 of Mary Arlene Peters of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 64 years. Arlene was born in Duvar, P.E.I. to her late parents William and Phyllis ( nee Arsenault ) Peters.
She was a devoted, loving mother of Robbie ( Kathy ) Peters and proud grandmother to Kaitlyn and Kara of London, ON. . Arlene is survived and sadly missed by her brothers and sisters : Dona Peters of Brampton, ON., Gloria Lucas of Summerside, Bernie ( Patricia ) of Miscouche and June Schleyer of Ottawa, ON., Also lovingly remembered by her sisters-in-law Nora Peters and Marjorie Peters and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Besides her parents, Arlene was predeceased by her sister Theresa Morrison, her brother Alan Peters and brothers-in-law Earl Schleyer, Vern Morrison and Winston Lucas.
Her family would like to thank the staff for the care and respect given from the Halifax Infirmary and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Saturday, July 6th , then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m.. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Arlene's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Friday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. .

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
