Obituary of Crossman, Weldon Bradford
The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital , Summerside on Saturday, June 8th , 2013 of Weldon Bradford Crossman of Central Bedeque, P.E.I., aged 92 years. Weldon was born on November 25th, 1920 in North Bedeque, P.E.I. to his late parents Soloman and Evelyn (nee Sudsbury ) Crossman.
Beloved husband of the late Norma (nee Champion ) Crossman and loving father of Dale ( Lynn ) of Central Bedeque, Thane of Summerside, Danny of Bedeque and Ronnie of Central Bedeque. Also lovingly remembered by 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents and wife Norma, Weldon was predeceased by his daughter Elizabeth Bowness, daughter in-law Nina Crossman, brother Jack, sisters Etta Lockhart, Jennie Buchannan and Doris Crossman, niece and nephew Dianne and Donnie Buchannan.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Friday, June 14th, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00a.m. Interment to take place in Central Bedeque Baptist Cemetery. Memorial donations in Weldon's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. By personal request there will be no visiting hours held.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
