Obituary of Duncan, Betty Winnifred
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Tuesday, May 21st , 2013 of Betty Winnifred ( nee Peters ) Duncan of Augustine Cove and formerly of Carleton Siding, P.E.I., aged 79 years. Betty was born on September 13th, 1933 in Carleton Siding to her late parents Peter and Luella ( nee Leard )Peters.
Beloved wife of the late Donald Duncan and loving mother of Linda ( Glenn ) Stuckey of Mt.Uniacke, N.S., George ( Jane ) of Appin Rd., Wade ( Donna Peters ) of Augustine Cove, Carolyn ( Delmar )MacKinnon of Nine Mile Creek, Barb ( Ray )Biage of New Haven, Sandra ( Carl ) Gaudet of Cape Traverse, Scott ( Constance Stevenson ) of Borden, Kim ( Paul ) Zeman of Rolla, Missouri. Also lovingly remembered by 12 grandchildren Matthew, Elysse, Chance, Jade, Kaylyn, Jenna, Logan, Joel, Amanda, Caitlyn, Jillian and Cody, 3 great grandchildren Mason, Piper and Scarlet and several nieces and nephews.
Survived by her brother Ralph Peters of Crapaud and sister Shirley MacDonald of Victoria.
Besides her parents and husband Betty was predeceased by her daughter Beverly in infancy, grand daughter Madeline Duncan and brother-in-law Roddie MacDonald.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Saturday, May 25th, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m.. Interment to take place at Tryon People's Cemetery, Tryon. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Betty's memory to the Children's Wish Foundation or the I.W.K. Hospital would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Friday evening only, from 6 - 9 p.m. .

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
