Obituary of Gillis, Colleen Eleanor
The death occurred peacefully at Perrin's Clinton View Lodge, Clinton, P.E.I. on Thursday, May 9th, 2013 of Colleen Eleanor Gillis ( nee Perry ) , formerly of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 61years. Colleen was born on July 1st , 1951 in Summerside, P.E.I..
Beloved daughter of Guelda ( Bobby ) Perry of Summerside and loving mother of Sherry Gillis ( Norman Little ) of Summerside and Corey ( Robin ) Gillis of Miscouche. Also lovingly remembered by her 4 grandchildren : Katlyn and Ryan Paynter and Jessica and Kenny Gillis. Survived by her brothers and sisters : Otis Perry and Robin Johnson ( Bobby ) all of Summerside, Julie Perry, Vance Perry ( Cathy ), Trudy Fandrick ( Terry ), Mary Hope Kahl ( John ) and Leslie Perry ( Garland ) all of Medicine Hat, AB. and Nicol Campbell ( Charlie Smith ) of Hunter River. Also lovingly remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Colleen was predeceased by her sister-in-law Brenda Perry.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Tuesday, May 14th , then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations in Colleen's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Monday evening only, 6 - 9 p.m..

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
