Obituary of Gallant, Paul " Alphonse "
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Friday April 12th, 2013 of Paul "Alphonse" Gallant of Miscouche, P.E.I. and formerly of Mont-Carmel, aged 93 years. Alphonse was born on August 6th, 1919 in Mont-Carmel to his late parents Daniel and Emilie ( nee Blacquiere ) Gallant.
Beloved husband of the late Amanda ( nee Gaudet ) Gallant and loving father of Karen Gallant of Abbotsford, BC., Paul Gallant of Miscouche and Anne ( Claude White) of Ottawa, ON. Also lovingly remembered by his 3 grandchildren, 6 great - grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and special friend Exina Richard.
Besides his parents and wife, Alphonse was predeceased by his sisters Annie, Beatrice and Lorette and his brothers Clarence, Leo, Pierre Marc, Gerard, Sylvare and Jean Pierre.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Tuesday, April 16th , then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche for a funeral mass at 2:00 p.m.. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Alphonse's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Monday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m..
Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #18, Miscouche will hold a service of remembrance at the funeral home on Monday evening at 6:30 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
