Obituary of Fitzpatrick, John "Ralph"
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside , P.E.I. on Tuesday, April 9th , 2013 of John "Ralph" Fitzpatrick of Summerside, P.E.I. aged 83 years. Ralph was born on February 21st, 1930 in Summerside to his late parents Bernard and Corrine ( nee Richard ) Fitzpatrick. He was retired after 44 years with CN & Marine Atlantic.
Beloved husband of 62 years to Henrietta ( Sonier ) Fitzpatrick and loving father of Ernest ( Millie ) of Summerside, Erskine ( Betty ) of Ontario, George ( Cheryl ) of B.C., Kevin ( MaryAnne ) of Summerside, Brian ( Donna ) of Alberta, Vickie Fitzpatrick Deveau of Miscouche and Glenn ( Glenda ) of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by his brother Edward (Jean ) of B.C.and sisters Rena Fitzpatrick of Ontario and Norma ( Robert ) Steele of Summerside.
Beside his parents Ralph was predeceased by his sisters Jean ( Fred ) Handrahan and Diane Fitzpatrick.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Friday, April 12th , 2013 then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. . Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Visiting hours on Thursday, evening only 6 - 9 p.m. . Memorial donations in Ralph's memory to Prince County Hospital Foundation or a charitable organization of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, George R.Pearkes, V.C.Branch #5, Summerside will hold a service of remembrance at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 5:45 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
