Obituary of Gallant, Mary Corinne
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at her late residence on Tuesday, January 29th, 2013 of Mary Corinne ( nee Barriault ) Gallant of Summerside, P.E.I. and formerly of Maximville, P.E.I., aged 86 years. Mary was born on September 25th, 1926 in Maximville, P.E.I. to her late parents Archie and Lena ( nee Arsenault ) Barriault.
Beloved wife of Alyre Gallant and loving mother of Roger ( Judy ), Roma ( Jim ) all of Summerside, Gary ( Eva ) of Brampton, ON., Paul of Summerside, Peter ( Christine ) of Summerside, Anne ( Paul ) Butler of Amherst NS., David ( Lori ) of Irishtown and Dennis ( Rachael ) of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and by her sister Louise Gallant of Summerside.
Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her brother Ernest, and sisters and brothers-in-law : Sister Rita Barriault, Edna ( Ralph ) Pilgram, Nora ( Norbert ) MacKinnon and Alfred Gallant.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Friday, February 1st, then to the St.Paul's Church for a funeral mass at 10:30 A.M. Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Donations in Mary's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or St.Paul's Church Building Fund would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Thursday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
