Obituary of Ferrish, Donald William
The death occurred peacefully at his late residence on Sunday, January 6th , 2013 of Donald William Ferrish of St. Nicholas, P.E.I. and formerly of St. Eleanors, P.E.I., aged 67 years. Donald was born on February 25th , 1945 in Summerside, P.E.I. to his late parents William " Bill " and Mary (nee Broome ) Ferrish.
Beloved husband of Adrienne ( nee Arsenault ) Ferrish and loving father of Bradley ( Lauralee ) of Greenwood, NS., Roxanne of Trenton, ON., Albert ( Amanda ) of Dartmouth, NS. and Justin of home ( U.P.E.I. ). Also lovingly remembered by his 4 grandchildren : Patrick, William, Amanda and Erica and several nieces and nephew. Survived by his brother and sisters : Frona Brown of St. Eleanors, Shirley MacNevin of Summerside, Erma MacDougall of Summerside, Deane ( Edna ) of Kensington, Helen Ferrish-Hogg of Summerside, Carol ( Joe ) Praught of Oromocto, NB. and Brenda Ferrish of Summerside.
Besides his parents, Donald was predeceased by his brothers in-law Wilf Brown and Harold MacNevin.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Wednesday, January 9th, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place at a later date in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Donald's memory to the Oncology Unit of the Prince County Hospital or to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Tuesday evening only, 6 - 9 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
