Obituary of Vokey, Tom
The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Wednesday, September 29th, 2021 of Charles Edward Thomas âTom' Vokey of Summerside, formerly of Toronto, ON, aged 78 years.
Tom was born in Glace Bay, N.S. to his late parents Samuel & Rowena (nee Roberts) Vokey. Survived by his brother Dave (Johanne) Vokey, sister Eleanor Philips, sisters-in-law Mary Vokey and Nancy MacNaughton as well as many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by siblings John (Florence), Bill, Jeanette (Jim) Fardy, Sammy (Olive), Evelyn (George) MacInnis, Rev. David MacNaughton, Margaret (Frank) Cormier and brother-in-law Robert Philips.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. Due to Covid -19 restrictions, a private family graveside service will be held at the St. John's Anglican Cemetery, Summerside for family and close friends.
Tom was an avid bridge player, he loved music and playing his guitar and will be missed by his many friends near and far. His family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Morash, Dr. Austin and the entire staff of the PCH Medical floor team for their care and compassion.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
