Obituary of Farrell, Leo Thomas
Leo Thomas Farrell died peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, P.E.I. on Thursday, November 15th, 2012, aged 96 years. Leo was born on January 8th , 1916, in Central Lot 16, P.E.I., to his late parents,Isadore and Mary Sarah ( nee Woods ) Farrell.
Beloved husband of the late Amy ( nee McInnis ) Farrell and loving father of Irene ( Rick ) Gaudet of Comox, B.C., Linda ( Blair ) Arsenault of Summerside, David ( Bonnie ) of Central Lot 16, Anne of Summerside, and Victor ( Cindy ) of Calgary, AB. Also lovingly remembered by his 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, his special nephew Frank Wendt of Vancouver, B.C., and several other nieces and nephews. Survived by his sister Irene ( Michael ) Kozarevich of Miscouche and brother-in-law Ronald McInnis of Huntsville, ON.
Besides his parents and wife, Leo was predeceased by a brother Vernon in infancy and 7 brothers-in-law.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Wednesday, November 21st, then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche, for a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Leo's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated. Visiting hours on Tuesday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
