Obituary of Gallant, Mildred Louise
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, P.E.I. on Wednesday, March 14th , 2012 of Mildred Louise Gallant (nee Nauss ) of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 90 years. Mildred was born on August 6th , 1921 in Halifax, N.S. to her late parents Harold and Julia ( nee Fox ) Nauss.
Beloved wife of the late Albert ( Knobby ) Gallant and loving mother of Doug ( Lois ) of Darnley, Julie ( Gary ) Dugay of Fernwood, Alberta Pringle of Bedeque, Garth ( Susan ) of Summerside and step-daughter Valerie ( Jim ) Pelly of Bridgetown, N.S. . Also lovingly remembered by her daughter-in-law Myrtle Gallant of Summerside, special friend Pat Gallant of Summerside, her 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by her sister Pauline ( Eddie ) Andrews of Haliax, N.S..
Besides her parents and husband, Mildred was predeceased by her brother Gordon Nauss, stepsons Junior, Bobby and Paul and son-in-law Art Pringle.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Saturday, March 17th , 2012 for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. . Interment to place in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations in Mildred's memory to Muscular Dystrophy Association would be greatly appreciated . Visiting hours on Friday evening only, 6 - 9 p.m..

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
