Obituary of Winchester, Ronald Edward
The death occurred suddenly and surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Friday, March 2nd , 2012 of Ronald Edward Winchester of Summerside , P.E.I., aged 55 years. Ronnie was born on February 19th , 1957 in Summerside , P.E.I. to his late mother Ida Virr ( Winchester ).
Beloved husband of Dorothy ( nee Gay ) Winchester and loving father of Tanya Winchester ( Cory ) , Ashley Winchester and Allison Winchester all of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by his grandsons Carter and Koby ( on the way ), grand daughter Faith and nieces Leah and Brittany Virr. Survived by his brothers Gerald Winchester of Summerside, Raymond Virr , Steve Virr & Dan ( Denise ) Virr and his step-father Raymond A. Virr all of Hamilton, ON.
Besides his mother, Ronnie was predeceased by his grandparents Mel and Anna Winchester.
By family request, there will be a private Memorial Service for family only at a later date. Memorial donations in Ronnie's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated .

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
