Obituary of MacPhie-Dawson, Annie Jean
The death occurred peacefully with family, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside , P.E.I. on Tuesday, January 31st, 2012 of Annie Jean MacPhie Dawson ( nee Thomson ) of Summerside, aged 86 years. Annie was born on December 7th , 1925 in Howlan, P.E.I. to her late parents Fulton & Annie
( nee Matthews ) Thomson .
Loving mother of Rikki-Leah Dawson-Parry of Summerside and Lesli-Ann Dawson of Springhill, N.S.. Also lovingly remembered by her grand-daughter Rhiannon Elizabeth Parry and grandson Devin Richard George along with many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Annie was predeceased by her sister Elizabeth and brothers Frank, Jack, Dave and Ray.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Saturday, February 4th , for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m.. Interment to take place in People's Cemetery , Summerside at a later date. Visiting hours on Friday evening only , 6 - 9 p.m. . Memorial donations in Annie's memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated .

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
