Obituary of Snook, Morgan
September 4, 2021 will forever be remembered as the day we lost a great man, a loving father, step-father, grandfather, son, brother, friend, and beloved soulmate. In the arms of his precious family, Morgan Snook of Emerald, PEI, passed away at the Prince County Hospital at the age of 63 after suffering a massive stroke.
Formerly from Lourdes, Newfoundland, Morgan was the son of Richard and Philomena (Barter) Snook. He was the devoted partner of Merie Surkan, dear father of Trinity (Tanya) Snook, Mitchell (Rhonda) Snook, Robyn (Matthew) Rayner, twins Philomena and Margaret Snook (both deceased), and step-children Ian (Janelle) Howatt, Adam (Stephanie) Howatt and Devan Surkan. He adored his grandchildren Trent (TJ), Madison, Alyssa, Gage, and Ashton (deceased).
Morgan was the oldest of 12 children. His siblings include Paul (Sandra) Snook, Debbie (Ivan) Barter, Sylvia (Fergus) Greene, Richie Snook, Eva Snook, Irene (Wilf - deceased) Matthews, Maisie (Joe) Stockford, Brian (Nicole) Snook, Corina (Brian) Rumbolt, and deceased siblings Martin Snook and Carolyn Snook Fifield. He was an uncle and great uncle many times over.
Morgan adored his in-laws Eva & Wilfred Gallant of Miscouche, and was brother-in-law to Carol (Trevor) Gallant, Melvin Gallant, Bruce Gallant and John (Kathy) Gallant.
He was called 'Captain' by many and was the happiest and funniest guy you could ever meet. He loved hanging with family, going for coffee with his best bud Clifford, fishing, hunting, checking out Marketplace and YouTube, gardening, his hobby farm and tinkering with projects like 'Frankenstein', his million-piece tractor. His favourite gadgets were duct tape and goop of some sort or other, and with these he simply 'invented'. Morgan loved to help people, and would happily exchange his time for a simple smile, handshake, or to trade for a new laying hen or fixer upper. He personally considered himself a great musician and enjoyed his collection of accordions, harmonicas, a guitar and fiddle, and the best set of headphones a man could ask for. Morgan worked with his daughter as a fisherman, and had previous jobs in the farming and forestry sectors.
Morgan enjoyed life and lived it well. He will be missed more than words can express.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
