Obituary of Praught, Edith Eileen
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, P.E.I. on Tuesday, January 17th , 2012 of Edith Eileen Praught of Summerside and formerly of Grand River, P.E.I., aged 85 years. Edith was born on August 9th, 1926 in Lot 16 , P.E.I. to her late parents Nelson & Gertrude ( nee Baglole ) Birch.
Beloved wife of Jack Praught and loving mother of Blair of Charlottetown, Judy ( Wyman ) Enman of North Enmore, Joanie of Summerside, Barb ( Rob) Richard of Summerside and Brenda ( Kent ) Biggar of Tyne Valley. Also lovingly remembered by her daughter-in-law Debbie, 13 grandchildren , 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by her brothers & sisters Shirley ( Reg ) Arsenault of Lethbridge AB., Sadie ( Denis ) Dolan , Doreen ( Joe ) Richard all of Summerside,, Junior ( Cindy ) Winchester of St. John, N.B. and Ossie ( Doris ) Winchester of Summerside.
Besides her parents, Edith was predeceased by her son Jackie.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Friday, January 20th , 2012 then to St. Patrick's Church, Grand River for a funeral mass at 2:00 p.m. . Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Visiting hours on Thursday, 2-6 p.m. only . In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Edith's memory to St. Patrick's Church Building Fund or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated .

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
