Obituary of Richard, Catherine Ann
The death occurred suddenly at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Saturday, January 14th, 2012 of Catherine Ann Richard ( nee Hackett ) of Summerside and formerly of Tignish, aged 48 years. Catherine was born on April 4 , 1963 in Alberton , P.E.I. to her parents Milda ( LeRoy ) Arsenault and the late Clifford Hackett.
Special friend of John Jacobsen and his daughters Jillian & Patricia. Loving mother of Kelly ( Jonathan ) Gaudet and Shannon Richard all of Tignish. Also lovingly remembered by her grandfather Earl Brennan of Tignish, grandson Cade, nieces Terri-Lynn, Karlee, nephew Carson, and several aunts & uncles. Survived by her brother and sisters Ronnie ( Beth ) Hackett of Nfld., Debbie ( Bruce ) Adams of Elmsdale and Vickie ( Junior ) Gallant of Piusville.
Besides her father, Catherine was predeceased by her sister Mary, brother David and grandparents Catherine Brennan & Cyrus Perry.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Thursday , January 19th , 2012 , then to St. Simon & St. Jude Church, Tignish for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.. Visiting hours on Wednesday, 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m.. Memorial donations in Catherine's memory to the Funeral Expense Fund would be greatly appreciated .

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
