Obituary of McGraw, Robert Joseph
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Saturday, January 7th , 2012 of Robert Joseph McGraw, of Summerside, and formerly of N.B., veteran of the Second World War, aged 87 years. Robert was born on September 26th, 1924 in Brunswick, Maine, U.S.A. to his late parents David and Judith ( nee Bulger ) McGraw.
Beloved husband of Emma ( nee Gallant ) McGraw and loving father of Linda (Gary) Lowther of Cavendish, P.E.I.. Survived by his sister Lydia Harper of ON. and brother Stanley McGrath of N.B.. Also lovingly remembered by his grandsons Chris (Melissa) and Ryan (Dianne) and his great grandchildren Katey, Jaxon, William and Ethan.
Besides his parents , Robert was predeceased by his son Norman and his brothers & sisters Alexandre, Emily, Albina, Leah, Hilaire and Lionel. Robert served at Juno Beach on D-Day and for more than 3 years in France, Holland, Germany & Belgium and received the following : 1939-45 Star, France and Germany Star & Canadian Volunteer Service Medal & Clasp.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Wednesday, January 11th , then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m..Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Visiting hours on Tuesday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m.. Memorial donations in Robert's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
