Obituary of Ramsay, Bud
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at his late residence on Thursday, December 29th , 2011 of Bud Ramsay of Summerside and formerly of Alberton, P.E.I. , aged 81 years. Bud was born on March 20th , 1930 in Freetown, P.E.I. to his late parents Peter and Mizzie ( nee Coughlin ) Ramsay.
Beloved husband of the late Mary Theresa ( nee Gallant ) Ramsay and loving father of Judy Biggar ( Louis Callaghan ), Kelvin 'Butch' ( Josie Young ), Peter, Barb Ramsay ( Mel Bernard ) , Blaine and Mysie Ramsay ( Wade Merrett ) . Also lovingly remembered by his 21grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Survived by his brothers Fred and Bill ( Joan ), his sister Lucille ( Arthur ) Inman and sister-in-law Margaret Ramsay.
Besides his parents and his wife, Bud was predeceased by his son Arthur, daughter Debbie Powers and the following brothers and sisters : Amos, Arthur, Vera Smith, Abe, Edna MacNeill, Max, Lill Gallant, Jim and Roy.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Monday, January 2nd , 2012 for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m.. Interment to take place at a later date in St. Paul's Church Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours on Sunday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. . Memorial donations in Bud's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the P.E.I. Humane Society would be greatly appreciated .

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
