Obituary of Perry, Walter Joseph Jr.
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Friday, December 23rd , 2011 of Walter Joseph Perry Jr. of Summerside, and formerly of Tignish, P.E.I., aged 65 years. Walter was born on July 17th, 1946 in Tignish , P.E.I. to his late parents Walter & Doris ( nee Arsenault ) Perry.
Beloved husband of Joanne ( nee Poirier ) Perry and loving father of Jeff ( Tracy ) of Calgary, Kevin of Summerside and Lorie ( James ) Browse of ON.. Survived by his sisters & brother Theresa ( Henry ) Doucette of Summerside, John ( Sharon ) of ON., Ollie Rodd of Summerside and Sylvia ( Henry ) Thompson of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by his 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Besides his parents , Walter was predeceased by his in-laws Edmond & Leona Poirier and his brother in-law Frank Rodd.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Wednesday, December 28th, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m..Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Visiting hours on Tuesday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m.. Memorial donations in Walter's memory to the P.E.I. Lung Association or the Prince County Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
