Obituary of Trainor, Gertrude Mae
The death occurred peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside on Sunday, November 6th , 2011 of Gertrude Mae Trainor ( nee Savidant ) of Summerside , P.E.I., aged 92 years. Gertrude was born on September 25th , 1919 in Summerside, P.E.I. to her late parents Vince and Mary Ann ( nee Bernard ) Savidant.
Beloved wife of the late Emmett Trainor and loving mother of Bob ( Donna ), Wayne ( Joanne ), Dewey ( Judy ), Darrell ( Elsie ) and Robbie ( Linda ) . Also lovingly remembered by her 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Survived by her sisters Theresa ( Keith ) Aldrich and Marie Richard all of Ontario, her sisters-in-law Theresa Ferguson of ON., Dolly Trainor of Charlottetown and Mildred Savidant of Summerside.
Besides her husband and parents, Gertrude was predeceased by her children Vernon, Armond and Gail in infancy, her sisters Laura, Florence, Doris and Maude, brothers Vincent , Frank and Leonard Savidant and several brothers and sisters-in-law.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Thursday, November 10th , for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. . Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery , Summerside. Memorial donations in Gertrude's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or to C.N.I.B.. would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Wednesday evening only, 6 - 9 p.m. .

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
