Obituary of McAleer, Maeve Joan
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, PEI on Thursday, September 2nd, 2021 of Maeve Joan (Doble) McAleer of Summerside. Maeve was born in Tilbury, UK to the late Stanley and Winifred (Chandler) Doble. Loving mother of Robert (Amanda), Sarah Beaton, Helen, Aaron, Amy (Tim) McCavour and Perry (Andrea) and their father Robert McAleer. Also lovingly remembered by her 10 grandchildren Amanda, Jordan, Ashley, Dawson, Cole, Riley, Bailey, Christian, Ryleigh and Kinslee and 2 great grandchildren Amelia and Clover. Survived by her brother David (Annette) Doble. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home 245 Pope Road, Summerside where a funeral service will be held on Thursday September 16th, 2021 at the East Prince Funeral Home Chapel. Due to Covid restrictions, please contact the funeral home if you wish to be in attendance. In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
