Obituary of Linkletter, Hester Mae
The death occurred peacefully at Andrews Lodge, Summerside , P.E.I. on Friday, September 30th , 2011 of Hester Mae Linkletter ( nee Inman ) , formerly of Central Bedeque and Linkletter, P.E.I., aged 104 years. Hester was born on July 8th , 1907 to her late parents T.J. and Irene ( nee Bell ) Inman.
Beloved wife of the late Albert Linkletter and loving mother of Robert ( Joan ) of Central Bedeque, Graeme ( Kay ) of Charlottetown and Rev. Donald ( Roxy ) of Waterloo, ON. . Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren : Wayne ( Kathy ), Joanne ( Stephen ) Currie, Barry ( Shannon ), Brian ( Janette ), Lori, Kristen ( Dave ) Rekker, Bethany and Martha (Chris Hinkewich) ; great-grandchildren Maggie, Charlotte, Bridgette, Joshua, Lucas, Nicholas, Claire, Nathan, Emily, Olivia, Dawson, Kaelan, Eden and Anastasia .
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Wednesday, October 5th , then to Trinity United Church, Summerside for a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. . Interment to take place in People's Cemetery , Summerside. Memorial donations in Hester's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation, Trinity United Church or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Tuesday , 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. .

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
