Obituary of Arsenault, Mary Margarite
The family of Mary Margarite (Caissie) Arsenault wish to announce her passing on September 26th , 2011 at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside , P.E.I. . Mary was born November 13th , 1920 in Egmont Bay to her late parents Malgoire and Mary Ann ( Arsenault ) Caissie.
She is survived by her husband Augustus (Gus) and her children Donna Marie (Nick) Kelly of Middle Cove, Newfoundland , Clyde of Long Creek , Barbara, Gloria & Simon all of Summerside and special daughter-in-law Alana. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren John Paul, Thomas, Nicholas Kelly, Angie ( Nav ) Dhillon, Brandon Arsenault , her precious great-grandchildren Annika and Kian Dhillon and her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is survived by her brother Gerald Wedge, her sister-in-law Rita Whelan of Halifax, Marie Leake (Doug) of Ontario and brother-in-law Russell Arsenault (Jo) of Ontario.
Besides her parents, Mary was predeceased by her daughter Patricia (2003), her step father Joseph Wedge, her siblings Adrian Casey, Ephrem Caissie, Eva Gallant, Lucy Ann Arsenault, Emma, Lydia, Denise, Margaret, Hermaine and Ephrem Caissie.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Thursday, September 29th then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for funeral mass at 2:00 p.m. . Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Visiting hours on Wednesday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.. St. Paul's CWL will hold a prayer service at the funeral home on Wednesday at 3:45 p.m.. Memorial donations can be made in Mary's honor to the Prince County Hospital Foundation or St. Paul's Cemetery Fund.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
