Obituary of McNeill, Arnold Robert
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, September 19th, 2011 of Arnold Robert McNeill of Norboro, P.E.I. and formerly of Grand River, aged 66 years. Arnold was born on June 7th , 1945 in Summerside, P.E.I. to his late parents Augustine and Josephine ( nee Cameron ) McNeill.
Beloved husband of Virginia ( nee Dalton ) McNeill and loving father of Sherry-Lynn McNeill of Slemon Park and Jennifer ( Carlo ) Stea of Bradford, ON. . Also lovingly remembered by his 5 grand-children : Chelsea, Breann and Brandon Hastings and Madison and Nathan Stea. Survived by the following brothers and sisters : Leonard ( Florence ) of Miscouche, Sarah Gallant of St. Eleanors, Doreen ( Gerald ) Gallant of Summerside, Bennett of Ajax, ON and Lil ( Ken ) Gallant of St. Eleanors.
Besides his parents, Arnold was predeceased by brothers Walter and Junior.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Wednesday, September 21st for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. . Interment to take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Grand River. In lieu of flowers , donations in Arnold's memory to St. Patrick's Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Tuesday evening only , 6 - 9 p.m. .

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
