Obituary of Reeves, Doris Helen
The death occurred peacefully at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, P.E.I. on Monday, September 12th , 2011 of Doris Helen Reeves ( nee Coughlin ) of Summerside , P.E.I. aged 96 years. Doris was born on December 22nd , 1914 in O'Leary, P.E.I. to her late parents Jesse and Lucy ( nee Warren ) Coughlin.
Beloved wife of the late Sterling Reeves and loving mother to Claude of Summerside ( Patricia Davey ) . Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Marlene ( Michael ) James and Kelly ( Todd ) Sutcliffe all of Charlottetown, her great-grandchildren Madison and Abigale James and Katie Sutcliffe and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Doris was predeceased by the following brothers and sisters : Charlie ( Lorena ) , Bill ( Hazel ), Chester, Addie ( Bridson ) Green, George ( Jean ), Millie ( Clide ) Dearborn , Annie ( Russell ) Maxfield, Ed ( Freda ) and Lillian ( Leslie ) MacLeod.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Wednesday , September 14th , for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. . Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations in memory of Doris to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Wednesday afternoon only , from 12:30 p.m. until time of funeral service.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
