Obituary of Farris, William " Bill " Peter
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Saturday, July 9th , 2011 of William 'Bill' Peter Farris of Kensington, P.E.I. and formerly of Wilmot Valley, aged 63 years. Bill was born on December 29th , 1947 in Kentville, N.S. to his late parents ,William and Jean ( nee MacDonald ) Farris.
Beloved father of Jarrett ( Jessica ) of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by Jarrett's mother Mary Farris , his granddaughter Kayleigh Farris, sister-in-law Dianne Farris all of Summerside and numerous nieces and nephews. Survived by brothers and sisters : Kathaleen ( Urban ) Gallant of Summerside, Lynda Farris of Clermont, John ( Lynn ) of Wilmot Valley, Sandy ( Marvin ) Stavert of Freetown, Ronnie ( Donna ) of Freetown, Karen ( Fred ) Mason of N.S. and Paul( Heather ) of Summerside.
Besides his parents, Bill was predeceased by his brother Elmer.
Following cremation , a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, July 12th at the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall, Taylor Road, North Bedeque at 1:30 P.M. . Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside. No visiting hours by personal request. Memorial donations in Bill's memory to the P.E.I. Humane Society or the Watchtower Bible Society would be greatly appreciated and may be made at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
