Obituary of Pineau, Ivan Joseph

The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Saturday, August 28th, 2021 of Ivan Joseph Pineau of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 89 years. Ivan was born in Summerside to the late Peter and Rosella (nee Arsenault) Pineau. Beloved husband of the late Leona (nee Arsenault) Pineau and loving father of David (Janet), Paula (Darrell) Arsenault, Donald (Karen), Susan (Joe) MacIntyre, all of Summerside, Dennis (Barbara) of Union Corner, P.E.I. and Allan (Sonia) of Utopia, NB. Also lovingly remembered by his 9 grandchildren Christopher, Ryan, Spencer, Jordan, Nathan, Jill, Danielle, Jessica and Grace, 4 great grandchildren Ayden, Noah, Arie and Amani. Survived by his brother and sisters Douglas of Amherst, N.S., Earl (Ricki) of Summerside and Cynthia (Sandy) Duff of Stittsville, ON., sisters-in-law Marion Pineau and Marie Arsenault and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Bernadette (Edmund) Gallant, Evelyn (Alfred) Burke, Clarice (Greg) Buteau, Theresa (Phil) Malone and Vernon, Eugene, and Ronald Pineau. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. Due to Covid 19 restrictions a private funeral mass will be held at St. Paul's Church, Summerside by invitation only. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Ivan's memory can be made directly to PEI division of Canadian Cancer Society or to East Prince Funeral Home Chapel Fund.
