Obituary of Donat, Isobel Violet
The death occurred peacefully at the Summerset Manor, Summerside with her daughter Sharon by her side on Sunday, April 17th, 2011 of Violet Isobel Donat ( nee Batchelor ) of Summerside and formerly of Kensington P.E.I.. Isobel was born on November 29th, 1918 in Hamilton , ON. to her late parents, Charles & Ellen Batchelor.
Beloved wife of the late Alexander Donat and also the late William Ferguson Beedie. Loving mother of Sharon Beedie ( Willis Paynter ) of Kensington, Susan Campbell of Maple Ridge, B.C., Fred & Robert Campbell of ON and David Campbell of B.C. Loving step-mother of Larry Donat ( Ellen Meephan ) of Ch'town, P.E.I. and Rolfe ( Linda ) Donat of Florida. Also lovingly remembered by her step grandson Jeffery ( Aimie ) Paynter of Calgary AB., several grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces & nephews. Survived by her sister Beulah Murdoch of Hamilton, ON..
Besides her parents and husbands, Isobel was predeceased by her sister Ivy Seager and her brother Lloyd Batchelor.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home , 245 Pope Road, Summerside where visiting hours will take place on Wednesday, April 20th, 6 - 8 p.m. only. A grave side service will take place in the Margate United Church Cemetery, Kensington at a later date. Memorial donations in Isobel's memory to the Alzheimer's Society of P.E.I. or the Summerset Manor Equipment Fund would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
