Obituary of Sonier, "Annie" Marie Rose
The death occurred peacefully & surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Monday, February 14th , 2011 of Marie Rose 'Annie' Sonier ( nee Gallant ) of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 75 years. Annie was born on March 17th , 1935 in Mont Carmel , P.E.I. to her late parents, Lawrence & Gladys Gallant.
Beloved wife of Ben Sonier and loving mother of JoAnn ( Lee ) Boyd of Oromocto, N.B., Cathy ( Kevin ) Clayton of Bridgewater, N.S., Beverly ( Ray ) Pierce of London, ON., Carolyn ( Stephen ) Sharpe of Ellerslie, P.E.I., and Douglas ( Rose ) of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by her God-daughter Rita Arsenault , 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Survived by her brother Abel Gallant of Summerside.
Besides her parents, Annie was predeceased by her daughter Patricia.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Friday, February 18th , 2011, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. . Interment to take place in the church cemetery at a later date. Visiting hours on Thursday , 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m.. Memorial donations in Annie's memory to the A.L.S. Society would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
