Obituary of Arsenault, Margaret Mary
The death occurred peacefully at Andrew's of Summerside on Tuesday, August 24th, 2021 of Margaret Mary (nee DesRoches) Arsenault of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 93 years. Margaret was born in Bedeque, P.E.I. to the late Anthony and Angelina DesRoches.
Beloved wife of the late Ralph Arsenault and loving mother of Ronnie (Cathy) Arsenault, Jean Matheson, Janet (Louis) Arsenault, Debbie (Ricky) Lowther, Gary (Michelle) Arsenault, Brian (Judy), Fay (Garth) O'Brien and Ruth (Brian) McCarville and several nieces and nephews. Also lovingly remembered by her 22 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.
Survived by her brother Fred DesRoches, sister-in-law Shirley MacAusland.
Predeceased by her daughter Linda Gallant, brothers Albert DesRoches, Henry DesRoches, George (Mary) DesRoches, Edmond (Rita) DesRoches, Austin (Aletha) DesRoches Ralph (Helen) DesRoches and sister-in-law Joan DesRoches.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. Due to Covid 19 restrictions a private funeral mass will be held in St. Malachy Church, Kinkora, by invitation only. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Church Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Margaret's memory can be made directly to Heart & Stroke Foundation.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
