Obituary of Hachey, Philip Alonzo Bernard
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, December 5th, 2010 of Philip Alonzo Bernard Hachey of Summerside , P.E.I. and formerly of Miramichi, N.B. , aged 73 years. Philip was born on Sept. 4, 1937 in Miramichi, N.B. to his late parents Philip & Gwendoline ( nee Madge ) Hachey.
Beloved husband of Diane ( nee MacDonald ) Hachey and loving father of William of Summerside, Shawn ( Tina ) of Summerside and Deanna ( Scott ) Hachey- Corey of Bowmanville, ON.. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Kaitlynn & Kayne Corey along with several nieces & nephews. Survived by his brothers Delbert ( Amanda ) of Toronto, ON., Robert ( Marney ) of Cobourg, ON. and his sisters Evelyn 'Toots' ( Eric ) Gropler of Prince George, B.C. and Cathy ( Sam ) Cotroneo of Mississauga, ON..
Besides his parents, Philip was predeceased by his brother Leonard and sisters Judy & Bunny.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Thursday , December 9th, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for funeral mass 10:30 a.m.. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery. Visiting hours on Wednesday , 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. . Memorial donations in Philip's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
