Obituary of Goguen, Leo Joseph
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital , Summerside, P.E.I. on Sunday, November 14th, 2010 of Leo J. Goguen of Summerside, aged 77 years. Leo was born on September 4th , 1933 in Port Elgin, N.B. to his late parents, Alphea and Delia ( nee Richard ) Goguen.
Beloved husband of Loretta ( nee Cogger ) Goguen and loving father of Joe ( Sophia ) of Ottawa, On., Maurice ( Brenda ) of Winnipeg , Man. , Gerry ( Donna ) of Greenwood, N.S., Michael ( Bonnie ) of Kinkora, P.E.I. and Brian ( Shelley ) of Amherst, N.S. . Also lovingly remembered by his 12 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Survived by his brothers & sister : Ovila ( Rose Marie ), Gerard ( Roma ) , Valmont ( Laura ) , Sr. Marie Rose, Robert ( Dianne ) and Camille ( Nancy ).
Besides his parents, Leo was predeceased by his sister Theresa Vautour and his brother Laurie Goguen.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Thursday, November 18th for funeral mass at St. Paul's Church, Summerside at 2:00 P.M. . Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Visiting hours on Wednesday evening only , 7 - 9 P.M. . Memorial donations in Leo's memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
