Obituary of Perry, Mary Elizabeth " Alice "
The death occurred peacefully at the Summerset Manor, Summerside on Sunday September 19th, 2010 of Mary Elizabeth Alice Perry of Summerside and formerly of Freetown, P.E.I. aged 96 years. Alice was born on September 14, 1914 in Palmer Road to her late parents, Edward & Maria ( nee Bernard ) Perry.
Beloved wife of the late Fred Perry and loving mother of Maurice ( Darlene Shunmon ) of Halifax, N.S., William ( Joseph McDonald ) of Toronto, ON., Leslie of Summerside & David ( Pat McBurnie ) of Northport, N.S.. Alice is also lovingly remembered by her 10 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her step-parents Manny & Susie Handrahan and her two infant sons.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Wednesday September 22nd , then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.. Interment to take place in St. James Cemetery, Summerfield. Visiting hours on Tuesday evening only, 6 - 9 p.m.. Memorial donations in Alice's memory to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
