Obituary of Murphy, Frank Joseph
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside on Thursday, August 5th , 2010 of Frank Joseph Murphy of Miscouche, aged 76 years. Frank was born on November 7th , 1933 in Alma, P.E.I. to his late parents Clarence & Lima ( nee Handrahan ) Murphy.
Beloved husband of Flo ( nee MacKinnon ) Murphy and loving father of Mike ( Kim ) of North Bedeque, and Sean ( Fawn ) of Miscouche. Grandfather of Benjamin, Ryan & Connor.
Survived by his brothers & sister Earl ( Jean ) of Pleasant View, Richard ( Marie ) of Alberton, Josie Breau of Mass. U.S.A., Leonard ( Christine ) of Kildare, Fred ( Sheila ) of Mill River, Joe ( Jean ) of Alberton and his sister-in-law Sue Murphy of Toronto, ON.. Also lovingly remembered by several nieces & nephews.
Besides his parents, Frank was predeceased by his brother Russell and his brother-in-law Ulysses Breau.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Saturday August 7th , then to St. John the Baptist Church ,Miscouche for funeral service at 10:00 a.m.. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. No visiting hours by personal request. Memorial donations in Frank's memory to the P.E.I. Lung Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
