Obituary of Jackson, Joseph Louis Philippe Gerald " Gerry "
The death occurred peacefully at Parkhill Place, Summerside on Thursday, June 17th , 2010 of Joseph Louis Philippe Gerald 'Gerry' Jackson of Summerside , P.E.I. and formerly of Farnham, Quebec, aged 77 years. Gerry was born on December 2nd , 1932 in Shawinigan Falls, Quebec.
Beloved husband of the late Albina ( nee Peters ) Jackson and loving father of Lise ( James ) Milligan of Charlottetown and Joanne ( Gord ) McDermott of Forestburg, Ab. . Also lovingly remembered by grandsons Matthew, Connor & Adrian and several nieces & nephews. Survived by brothers Charlie & Patrick ( Francoise ) and sisters Michelle Jarry & Lise ( Normand ) Marcotte all living in Quebec.
Besides his wife and parents, Gerry was predeceased by his son Marcel Eugene in infancy , sister-in-law Lucille Jackson and brother-in-law Marcel Jarry.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday, June 21st , then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Visiting hours on Sunday, 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m.. Memorial donations in Gerry's memory to the Parkhill Place Residence Fund would be greatly appreciated.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 6:45 p.m. by members of the George R. Pearkes, V.C. Branch #5, Royal Canadian Legion, Summerside.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
