Obituary of Hogg, Jean Mary Theresa
The death occurred peacefully with her loving family by her side at the Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, P.E.I. on Wednesday, July 28th, 2021 of Jean Hogg (nee Fitzsimmons) of Summerside and formerly of Travellers Rest, P.E.I., aged 93 years. Jean was born in Long River, P.E.I. to the late Linus and Catherine Fitzsimmons (nee Gillis).
Beloved wife of the late Russell Hogg and loving mother of Norma DesRoches- Salahub (Peter), Donna Janes (Jerry), Austin Hogg (Michelle), Catherine Faye Boyles (Kevin Morrison) and Kenneth Hogg. Also lovingly remembered by her 22 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren.
Survived by her brothers and sisters Ralph (Ruth), Hilda Fitzsimmons, Billie (Yvette), Earle (Dolly), sisters in-law Angela and Shirley and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by brothers and sisters James, Gladys McEwen, Emmett, Ethel Luciano, daughter in-law Carol Hogg, sons in-law Joe DesRoches and David Boyles and sister in-law Anne.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. Due to Covid 19 restrictions a private funeral service will be held. Interment to take place in Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Indian River. Memorial donations in Jean's memory can be made directly to Saint Mary's Catholic Cemetery or the Arthritis Society.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
