Obituary of Jones, Dorothy Freda
The death occurred peacefully at the Garden Home, Charlottetown, P.E.I. on Tuesday, April 6th, 2021 of Dorothy Freda Jones of Charlottetown, aged 95 years. Dorothy was born in Roseville, Lot 3, P.E.I. to the late Fred and Beatrice (nee Trainor) Jones.
Survived and sadly missed by her children Alan, Jim (Emma), Barry (Heather) and Maura Lee Rafferty and Charlene (Glenn) Hopper. Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Tina, Mandy, Nicole, Jaime Lee, April, Bethany, Pamela and Kai, great grandchildren Halley, Sydney, Skyler, Jack, Emma, Caleb, Brooklyn, Eliana and Blake, great great grandchildren Jetlin and Jaxon, many nieces and nephews and extended family member Maria Goddyn.
Dorothy was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Predeceased by Edward "Bud" Rafferty father of her children, grandchild Rain and great grandson Joshua, sisters Thelma Mulligan, Dora Keizer and Betty Nicholson, brothers Upton and Jarvis Jones.
The family would like to thank the staff off Garden Home for the loving care they all gave to our mom.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. Due to Covid -19 restrictions a private wake and funeral mass will be held. Interment to take place in the Summerfield Church Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in Dorothy's memory can be made directly to St. James Summerfield Church Cemetery.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
