Obituary of Roe, David Michael
The death occurred peacefully at Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Sunday, March 21st, 2021 of David Michael Roe of Summerside and formerly of White Rock, BC. and the UK, aged 57 years. David was born in Derby, Derbyshire, England to the late Keith and Madeline Roe.
Beloved husband of Susan Roe and loving father of Callum Roe, his mother Lorna Robertson, stepfather of Ryan and Thomas McKnight, father and mother in-law Stuart and Joan Bowman, sister in-law Paula (Jason) Mott and their children David and Beatrix.
Survived by his brother Peter (Sharon) Roe, nephews Edward (Georgina) Roe and William Roe and their mother Debbie Wood, great nephew Luke Roe, great niece Skye Roe, auntie Jean Appleby and cousins Claire Minns and Rachel Matthews.
He will be sadly missed by his dog Derby.
Predeceased by his uncle Peter Appleby.
David had a long career as an Aerospace Engineer in Great Britain, Saudi Arabia, British Columbia and Prince Edward Island. David loved to travel, especially to visit his family in England and British Columbia, whom he loved so much. David also had a passion for football (soccer). He was a huge fan of Derby County Football Club.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. A private service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in David's memory can be made directly to Canadian Cancer Society.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
