Obituary of Landry, Alcide "Sid"
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Saturday, December 12th, 2020 of Alcide "Sid" Landry of Summerside, P.E.I, aged 90 years. Sid was born in Caraquet, NB. to the late Adelard and Helene (Nowlen) Landry.
Beloved husband of the late Marie Landry (nee Larocque) and loving father of Helene DeSutter of Tillsonburg, ON., Robert (Theresa) of Wainwright, AB., Diane (Ted) Poirier of Summerside, and Tanya (Wayne) Collicutt of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Survived by his brother Armand Landry.
Predeceased by his brothers Godfroid, Wilfred and Lionel, his son-in-law Danny DeSutter and sister in-law Fern Landry.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. A private funeral service will be held. Interment to take place in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Miscouche. Memorial donations in Sid's memory can be made directly to PEI Diabetes Association.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
