Obituary of Gallant, Douglas Joseph
The death occurred suddenly at the Halifax Infirmary Hospital, Halifax, NS, on Sunday, October 25th, 2020 of Douglas Joseph Gallant of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 70 years. Douglas was born in Charlottetown, P.E.I. to the late Joseph L. & Elizabeth Victoria (nee MacLean) Gallant.
Father of Tyler (Jennifer) Gallant of Val Belair, QC and Jennifer (Andrew) de Guzman of Calgary, AB. Also remembered by his grandson Noah de Guzman.
Survived by his brothers and sisters: Judy Duggan of Edmonton, AB, JoAnne (John) Perry of Summerside, Donna (Ernest) Arsenault of Wellington, Robert Gallant of Summerside, Richard Gallant of Summerside, Christopher Gallant (Ian Pitt) of Ottawa, ON, and Lisa (Bill) Anderson of St. Nicholas.
Predeceased by his brother Anthony, brother-in-law Bruce Duggan, sister-in-law Diane Gallant and infant brother Joseph Gallant.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside. A private Funeral Mass will take place at St. Paul's Church, Summerside. Interment to take place in the St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations in Douglas's memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
