Obituary of Florence Johanna McNeill
The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Sunday, March 2, 2025 of Florence Johanna (Kelly) McNeill of Miscouche, age 92. Even until recently, former clients would come up to Florence and tell her how much they appreciated her help. Florence also dedicated many hours as a volunteer with PEI hospice.
Florence was proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was most happy when they gathered in the summers at the family cottage in Belmont. Florence had many interests, including Saturday evening card games, knitting, quilting, pickling, baking bread and her special cinnamon rolls. Florence took great pleasure in recognizing family and friends with a special card on their birthdays or other special occasions. She will be fondly remembered in the community as a thoughtful neighbour, a loyal friend, a tireless volunteer, longstanding CWL member and a faithful parishioner of St. John the Baptist Church in Miscouche.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
