
Obituary of Scott Scarafile
The death occurred suddenly at Prince County Hospital on Thursday, April 10th, 2025, of Joseph "Scott" Scarafile of Summerside, PEI, and formerly of New Jersey, aged 60 years. Scott was born to his parents Nancy Sokoluk and the late Thomas Clow.
Scott is survived by sisters Gin Barinecutt, Nancy Robinson (Alex), Elaine Sokoluk, Christine Langdon (Mike), Kathleen Palino (Tracy) nephews Shane and Carter, nieces Ashley and Shawna as well great nieces Sadie and Talea. Also fondly remembered by his beloved friend and brother in Christ, Victor Whitewood.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside PEI, until Friday April 25th then to Central Street Christian Church, 83 Central Street, Summerside, PEI, for visitation from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 7:00pm.
Donations in Scott's memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the PEI Cancer Treatment Center in Charlottetown, PEI.
ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
