Obituary of McNeil, Virginia Stella
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by loving family at Prince County hospital, Summerside, P.E.I, on Thursday, November 18, 2021 of Virginia Stella McNeill (neé) Dalton, aged 75 years. Virginia was born in Portage, P.E.I to the late Ethel Dalton (neé) Sharbell.
Beloved wife of the late Arnold "Narn" McNeill and loving mother of Sherry McNeill (Kevin Gallant) and Jennifer Stea (Carlo Stea). Also lovingly remembered by her 5 grandchildren Chelsea Hastings, Breann Hastings, Madison Stea, Brandon Hastings (Kennedy Frittenburg), and Nathan Stea, and beloved by best furry friends Mate and Cosmo.
Survived by her brothers and sisters Bobby Dalton (Annette), Rosemarie Dalton, Marcella Carota, Teddy Dalton (Sheila Dalton), sisters-in-law Sarah Gallant, Florence McNeill and Lillian Gallant, brother-in-law Benny McNeill and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her brother Sonny Dalton, brothers-in-law Walter McNeill (Pat), Francis "Junior" McNeill, Leonard McNeill, Leo and Kenneth Gallant, sisters-in-law Mary McNeill and Doreen McNeill (Gerald Gallant), niece Jocelyn McNeill and nephew Channing Dalton.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside. Due to Covid 19 restrictions a private funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel by invitation. Interment to take place in St. Patrick's Church Cemetery, Grand River, P.E.I. following the funeral service. Visiting hours on Monday from 6 - 8 p.m. Proof of vaccination & ID are required. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation in Virginia's memory can be made directly to the P.E.I Humane Society or St. Patrick's Cemetery Fund.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
