Obituary of Perry, Verna Harriet
The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, P.E.I. on Saturday, December 21st, 2013 of Verna Harriet Perry ( nee Fraser ) of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 71 years. Verna was born on June 12th, 1942 in Pointe du Chene, NB. to her late parents Lorne and Margaret ( nee Ramsay ) Fraser.
Beloved wife of the late Enzer Perry and loving mother of Conrad ( Tracey ) of Clermont, Lorne ( Dawn ) of Summerside, Diane ( Brian) Jacobson of Mississauga, ON. and special friend of the family Elizabeth Brander. Also lovingly remembered by her 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by the following sisters : Wanda Cannon, Faith ( Wayne ) Gallant and Sheila ( Vincent Bernard ) Perry all of Summerside.
Besides her parents and husband, Verna was predeceased by her sister Lorraine ( Bobby ) Hippenstall and brother Winston "Bud" Fraser.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Tuesday, December 24th , for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10:00 a.m.. Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside at a later date. Memorial donations in Verna's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Monday evening only, 6 - 9 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
