Obituary of McKenna, Marion Francis
The death occurred peacefully at the South Shore Villa, Crapaud, P.E.I. on Tuesday, November 26th , 2013 of Marion Francis McKenna ( nee McCarville ) of Crapaud, P.E.I., aged 86 years. Marion was born on October 26th, 1927 in Kinkora, P.E.I. to her late parents Richard and Josephine ( nee Condon ) McCarville.
Beloved wife of the late Jack McKenna and loving mother of Gladys ( Aitken ) of Toronto, ON., Donnie of Charlottetown, Dianne ( Lloyd ) MacDonald of Borden-Carleton, Wayne ( Betty ) of Tryon, Faye ( Jim ) MacDonald of Borden-Carleton, John ( Phyllis ) of Long Creek, David ( Elaine ) of Toronto, ON., Linda (Gordie ) Howatt of Victoria, Debbie ( Dave ) Murray of Fredericton, N.B., Heather McKenna of Charlottetown, Rob of Middleton and Joanne ( Darrell)Disano of Rose Valley. Also lovingly remembered by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived by her sisters-in-law Evelyn and Irene McCarville.
Besides her parents and husband, Marion was predeceased by her sons Paul and John Blair, brothers Aneas, Amby, Joe and Peter McCarville and sister Ina Duffy, grandsons Lowell Aitken and Christopher McKenna.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Saturday, November 30th, for a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the Tryon Presbyterian Cemetery. Memorial donations in Marion's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours on Friday evening only, 6 - 9 p.m.

ABOUT US
In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
