Obituary of Campbell, Robert Joseph
The death occurred suddenly at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital, Halifax, N.S. on Thursday , February 4th, 2010 of Robert Joseph Campbell of Central Bedeque, P.E.I., aged 61 years. Robert was born on July 23rd, 1948 in Bedeque, P.E.I. to his late parents, Sutherland & Mary ( nee Arsenault ) Campbell.
Beloved husband of Faye ( nee (Harnish ) Campbell, loving father of Mary ( Mike ) Banks of Freeland, Bobby Jo ( Eddie ) Campbell of S'side, Barb ( Ivan ) Campbell of St. Nicholas, Deanna ( Alvin ) Bridges of Miscouche, Cathy Crafer of Ontario and Robbie ( Vicky ) of Kensington and step-father of Dorothy ( Ron ) Winchester of S'side, Edgar A. ( Elaine ) Gay of Dartmouth, N.S. and Darrell ( Phyllis ) Gay of S'side. Also lovingly remembered by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Survived by his sisters Stella ( Gordon) Ramsay of Kelvin Grove & Norma ( Edward ) Hashie of S'side.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday, February 8th, 2010 for funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. . Interment to take place at a later date in the Lower Bedeque Cemetery. Visiting hours on Sunday evening only , 6 - 9 p.m. . Memorial donations in Robert's memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
