Obituary of DesRoches, Francis J.

The death occurred peacefully at the Summerset Manor,Summerside, P.E.I. on Saturday , October 31st, 2009 of Francis J. DesRoches of Summerside & formerly of Miscouche , aged 82 years. Francis was born on October 4th , 1927 in Miscouche, P.E.I. to his late parents Felix & Eliza ( nee Gaudet ) DesRoches. Survived by his daughter Julie ( Paul ) Battistel of Burnaby , B.C., his step-children Louise Cameron and Eddie DesRoches of B.C. and his grandchildren Ryan & Christine Battistel. Also lovingly remembered by his brother Hilary of Miscouche , sisters Rita Arsenault of Miscouche and Eunice DesRoches of S'side , special friend Kate Bernard of Miscouche and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents , Francis was predeceased by brothers Wilfred , Henry, Clifford and sisters Lena Thibideau, Marie Gallant, Regina Gallant and Louise Gallant. Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Tuesday, November 3rd , then to St. John the Baptist Church , Miscouche for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.. Following cremation, interment will take place at a later date in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Francis' memory to the St. John the Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or the Summerset Manor Equipment Fund would be greatly appreciated.
