Obituary of Blacquiere, Kendra Anne
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside , P.E.I. on Friday , October 16th, 2009 of Kendra Blacquiere (nee Doucette) of Summerside , P.E.I., aged 43 years. Kendra was born on September 21st,1966 in Summerside , P.E.I. to her parents Willard & Marlyn ( nee Wadman ) Doucette.
Beloved wife of Michael Blacquiere and loving mother of Amanda & Marissa of Summerside. Survived by her only sister Tanya Doucette (Eddie O'Brien) of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by her special aunt & uncle Shirley & Kenny Wadman , several aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers & sisters-in-law and nieces & nephews.
Kendra was predeceased by grandparents Jean & Preston Wadman, Sena & Maynard Doucette and her father & mother in-law Harold & Anna Blacquiere.
Resting at East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside until Monday, October 19th, then to Summerside Church Of The Nazarene, Summerside for funeral service at 1:00 p.m.. Memorial donations in Kendra's memory to the P.E.I. Humane Society or the Prince County Hospital Oncology Unit would be greatly appreciated. Visiting hours for family only, on Sunday evening, 7 - 9 p.m..

In the late 1980's, a group of citizens from the East Prince area met to discuss the possibility of establishing a co-operative funeral home. Two such homes were operating successfully in Prince County, namely the West Prince Funeral Home in Palmer Road and the Evangeline Funeral Home in Urbainville. As a result, on January 24th, 1989, the East Prince Funeral Co-operative Ltd. was formed.
